    [hr][justify][size=8]What an awfully rude awakening.

    A dark-furred newborn had been nestled comfortably inside his mother's belly. It was warm and he was content staying here for a good, long time. Unfortunately, his hopes of staying cuddled in there for a few more days were about to be unpleasantly ripped away from him. When his first sibling began squirming, he kicked out grumpily, wanting nothing more than to go back to sleep. But when the kicking continued, rallying the anger of the rest of the kits, it was clear no one was staying put anymore. No. They wanted out. Out somewhere with a little more room...

    Thus, one by one, the space in Snowbloom's womb became more roomy. By the time it was his turn, the child slipped out with a bit of difficulty. He'd taken up quite a bit of room in her belly and was definitely doing the same thing coming out. There was no doubt he'd given his mother a painful birthing.

    Once he was out and in the open of the cold, heartless world, though, the great-sized newborn panicked. He couldn't breathe and he was freezing! Squirming in terror, he wondered briefly if this was it. Fortunately, his fear was short-lived when a warm sand-papery... thing cleared the mucus out of his mouth and allowed him to let out a mighty screech, opening his lungs and sending air into his body. Gasping now with a series of tiny mews, the child continued blindly wiggling, trying to find any source of heat. With a little help from Snowbloom, he was placed alongside three other familiar-feeling bodies. His siblings! So they weren't gone forever! Content with this new situation, sharing body warmth with Cloudedkit, Briarkit, and Hazelkit, he felt three bodies added to their pile slowly after some movement from whatever his face was near.

    Speaking of which... the thing his nose was next to smelled amazing! Sweet, inviting, and his! Already showing his bold personality, the newly-proclaimed Pantherkit pushed his way towards his mother's belly, aiming to latch on and suckle quite noisily and greedily. It was very obvious he was hungry due to the loud gulping coming from his tiny-yet-massive form.

    b/c i think it'd be funny if our kits developed a bff thing/future relationship before they find out that panther is their uncle cx

    [hr][justify][size=8]Pantherkit's jaws stretched in a wide yawn that morning, rising right at the crack of dawn. He had found that he liked waking early; it offered him more time to tackle the day. When he woke at this time, he got a chance to quiz the warriors on some things like what they did on patrols or how to properly hunt or what it meant to be a warrior. He found the Warrior Code the most interesting, breathing in every word of it and giving no room to second-guess himself. As far as he was concerned, that code was his law. The massive two-month-old wanted to be the very best warrior he could be!

    So upon catching Stonejaw's call for morning patrols, the kit decided to go over and listen, wanting to learn for when he became an apprentice. Of course, he was simply itching to be six moons already! Then he could be assigned a mentor and taught the proper way to serve his clan! But his attention was swiftly taken from those thoughts when he heard his denmate Mintkit requesting to go out on a patrol. Frowning, the know-it-all stated blatantly, "You can't go on a patrol yet. You're not old enough, mousebrain." That's what the Warrior Code said anyways. Right? He wouldn't dare go out on a patrol because he was worried he would get in trouble and have his apprenticeship delayed.

    [hr][justify][size=8]Upon his sister's confirmation, Pantherkit puffed up his chest in pride. So he had been right! When his mother confirmed it as well, he nodded to her, looking back at Mintkit. "See! I told you," he boasted arrogantly, liking to be right. Unfortunately, his smug expression was short-lived when Snowblossom added that if Stonejaw said they could go then they could. Dropping his tough posture, the mighty ebony kitten turned towards his mother and frowned at her, mostly in confusion. "No, that's not right. Kits aren't allowed to leave camp. Only apprentices and warriors can and we won't be apprentices for another four moons. The code says so, doesn't it?" His tone was no longer boasting, but rather unsure and trying to follow the rules. If the code allowed it, then he supposed it would be rather exciting... but he didn't want to do anything bad! What would Thrushstar think if he did? Her opinion was very important to him, after all. She was the leader of SkyClan! Staring at Snowblossom, Pantherkit anxiously awaited her response.

    [hr][justify][size=8]helaku: mom and baby thread? c:

    + ooh i'd be interested in a thread with ivy!
    this will get confusing now there are two ivykits here :o

    [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 420px;][align=center]

    [hr][justify][size=8]Oh, well that sounded very important! Wanting to fully understand his duty to his clan, he asked for clarification. "Like holes that foxes or badgers or enemy warriors could get in, right?" He could only assume that's what his uncle meant. After all, it was very important to know what to look for before going about your mission. Pantherkit was a bit of a perfectionist, as one might say, so he wanted to make sure his job was perfect. Stonejaw would not be disappointed!

    [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 420px;][align=center]

    [hr][justify][size=8]Nodding affirmatively, Pantherkit was about to go on his way when Hailkit showed up. Wanting to include his brother, he invited, "We're going to be patching up camp; come on, Hailkit!" With that, he began trotting off, but not before sending a quick, "Hi, sis!" Russetflower's direction.

    [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 420px;][align=center]

    [hr][justify][size=8][pan is a boy ^^;]

    Had he said something? Naturally, the kit had just thought he was explaining to her how things worked. Unfortunately, he was oblivious to the fact that he had hurt her feelings. Pantherkit honestly hadn't meant to. He just simply saw things in black and white, leaving little room for error in his book. It was both a virtue and a vice in some ways.

    Blinking his pale eyes at Mintkit's bubbly attitude, he watched her race off into the abyss, followed closely by Flickerkit. Turning then to Hailkit and his younger sister, he prompted, "We'll do our best, too, right, Briarkit?" Excitement coursed through him, ready to go. He would make his deputy proud! Stonejaw would be so impressed by how thorough he was when assigned to a task! Maybe he would even make him an apprentice early! No, that's not how it works, the fluffy raven kit reminded himself, You have to wait regardless. It was tough waiting, but it would be so worth it!

    [fancypost bgcolor= transparent; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 420px;][align=center]

    [hr][justify][size=8]Jumping for Pantherkit was a challenge for a reason completely different than Tatteredpelt's limp leg. The ebony-furred kit was giant for his age, much more so than he should be. Due to his breed, his weight and bulkiness made leaping high up in the air fairly difficult. Gravity worked against him to pull his bulky form back to the earth, causing him to avoid climbing as that was something he simply wasn't going to excel at.

    Noticing the warrior rejoining camp with a nice-looking thrush in his mouth, the tom brightened and bounded over, hoping to earn a story from Tatteredpelt. "Tatteredpelt!" exclaimed Pantherkit, green eyes glowing, "Can you show me how you caught that?" Seeing as this was another cat who had complications with heights, perhaps he could teach him a thing or two! Oblivious to his Clanmate's desire to rest and recover, he eagerly awaited a reaction, face begging for him to say 'yes' and teach him.
